I am thrilled to be an Assistant Instructor for the School of Informatics. I also served as a mentor for the introduction to Human Computer Interaction Design graduate course.Fall 2005
Organizational Informatics: Assitant Instructor
This was my first teaching experience at a university. I lead discussion sessions and evaluated weekly memos written by the students. For the discussion sessions, I prepared questions from the weekly lectures and readings. I also used relevant video clips, such as episodes of "Futurama" and "the Simpsons" to help students relate the material to current events and popular culture. At the end of the semester, my professor nominated me for the School of Informatics "AI of the Year" award.

Analytical Foundations of Security: Assistant Instructor
For this class, I prepared homework and test questions based on material covered in the lectures and held regular office hours. I have provided an example of a homework assignment I prepared for the students below. I also graded all homeworks, assisted in grading tests and maintained a record of all grades and attendance for the class.

Incoming graduate students were asked to read Freakonomics and I was asked to lead a group discussion. Here are the discussion questions I prepared for my group of students.

HCI Design I: Mentor
As a mentor, I helped first year graduate students with the design process. I attended group meetings, gave suggestion on technique and was responsible for evaluating the groups' final designs.
I also asked my fellow second year grad students if I could film them giving some advice to the new students entering the program. They said yes.
